Self

So when I try to understand this thing that we call self, a problem started to rise. Yes I could look at myself and understand that there's a thing called myself, and I can see how I work, my emotions my thoughts, my reactions to events and how those actions originated and how and why they were carried out the way they did, so I can see that I am here and I work this way, but then a problem arises, who's doing this analyzing? is it me? yeah that makes sense to a certain degree, since you could say that this was a higher order of myself looking at the lower orders and figuring out how they worked, but the problem doesn't stop there since then I understand that this is some sort of higher order me recognizing myself. And start analyzing how I'm carrying out my analysis, and recognize itself. this means that there's another higher order, and I can't necessarily understand how that self works but I can understand that there is that self, and then understand that there's a self looking at that self and that there is another self looking at that self, and when you take that idea you realize that consciousness is its ability to recognize itself recognizing itself recognizing itself and so on and so forth.

This would mean that consciousness itself is infinity. that what makes us understand ourselves is infinite itself since we can do it unto forever. This would mean that every single moment our past self dies and a new self that recognizes it's existence before that moment is born, and so on, and we are that. This goes on till infinity in infinite dimensions, one overlapping on the other overlapping on another and that ability is what we call self. and that is the beginning of us. but then that is not the end, since the conscious mind can only undestand a few orders of this self so as we go on perhaps there are other things that we might uncover. like maybe this could be how consciousness works but not what it is, if you understand what I mean by that.
